Enjoy a Morning Walk
Morning walks are great for rebooting and re-energize myself from the previous day’s work. Sometimes as entrepreneurs we may have bad habits, like taking work home, even to the point of disrupting our sleep and nighttime routines. Especially in those moments, I try to start my day off with a walk. This helps to be more present. It grounds me, as I take in the fresh air, and feel the sun on my skin. In order to be a successful entrepreneur, it is imperative that you find ways to incorporate simple, but effective mindful habits into your daily life and morning routine.

Listen to Something Motivational
I have a daily podcast called the I AM CEO Podcast and have interviewed over 1,300 people and asked them for their “CEO Hacks” that make them more effective and efficient. The most consistent answer that I’ve heard has been the importance of the morning routine. It’s really made me focus and continue to refine mine so that I can win the day.
The morning routine I lean on is
- listening to a mantra and meditation that includes a Bible verse, gratitude, visualization, and next steps
- reading the Bible and spending time with God
- Drinking water and some quick movement/workout, usually 5–20 minutes (e.g., HIIT, yoga)
- wash and clean while listening to something motivational
- taking my dog out for a walk or to the park
- Come back and have breakfast (usually a protein shake, water, and tea)
