I was talking to a friend about business the other day. He talked about how he outsources so he can focus on more important things.

While I agree that outsourcing can be helpful in many cases, we spoke at length about the few things we can’t outsource.

Even though there’s nothing wrong with delegation, the fact of the matter is that you can’t outsource the following items and expect great results.

You can’t outsource your vision

The vision you have is what drives you. It is your inspiration. Without a clear vision, you will never be able to achieve deeply meaningful goals. So if you have no vision, you will be disappointed.

If you delegate tasks you are passionate about, chances are they won’t get done at the level of excellence that they deserve.
