Day 2: Why I’m Starting a Daily Writing Habit
1 min readOct 16, 2023
I recently signed up for Dickie Bush & Nicolas Cole’s cohort-based course, Ship 30 for 30.
Here are a few reasons why:
- “Tomorrow” seems to be my favorite word. If I did all the things that I put off until “tomorrow”, I’d be busy until ten years after my last breath. I am letting go of procrastination by committing to a daily writing habit.
- Writing is my happy space. It’s how I work things out for my emotional health and it is my favorite form of communication. I’m not a public speaker or a podcast host (at least, not yet) but writing is where I am able to articulate most clearly.
- By sticking to this daily routine, I’d like to stack other habits. And even better, my hope is to refine my craft, zero in on my voice, and get dialed into a community that will keep me challenged and accountable even past 30 days.
But during this 30-day cohort, I plan on writing about flourishing in life, entrepreneurship, and yup, writing.
Join me on this adventure — and let me know if you have any questions along the way!
I’m excited to start sharing what I know online.
