I’ll let you in on a little secret: I wasn’t always good at focusing.

Like many people, I’d get easily distracted, overwhelmed by long to-do lists, and constantly switch from task to task, wondering why I never seemed to finish anything.

But when life threw me challenges I couldn’t ignore, I knew something had to change. I needed to take control, find clarity, and break free from the cycle of starting and stopping.

That’s when I discovered the power of focus, sprinting, skill stacking, and scaling.

I’m Jane, and this is the story of how I 10x’d my goals by learning to focus on the things that mattered most — and how you can do the same.

1. Eliminate Distractions: Clearing the Path to Focus

When I first started working on ambitious goals, distractions were everywhere. Whether it was my phone constantly buzzing or my mind wandering, I found it nearly impossible to stay on task. Every time I’d get into a flow, something would pull me away — derailing my progress entirely.

My turning point:
I realized I was sabotaging myself by allowing distractions to dictate my day. So I made a commitment: no more distractions during focus time. That meant turning off notifications, setting up a designated workspace, and creating boundaries with the people around me.

Here’s what worked for me:

  • Phone on silent: I turned off all non-essential notifications and kept my phone out of reach when I needed deep focus.
  • Setting time limits: I used apps like Freedom to block distracting websites during my most productive hours.
