You sit down to work. You want to focus. But instead…

You check your phone.
You suddenly need a snack.
You remember that one thing you forgot to do yesterday.

By the time you finally start, half your energy is already gone.

Sound familiar? Focus isn’t just about discipline — it’s about eliminating the things that pull you away.

And those things? They fall into three categories: friction, resistance, and overwhelm.

1. Friction: The Invisible Force That Kills Momentum

Friction is anything that makes it hard to start. If you have to dig through 10 tabs, find the right notebook, or figure out what you’re supposed to do next, your brain looks for the easy way out.

How to fix it:
✅ Reduce setup time — keep tools, files, and notes where you can access them instantly.
✅ Use a jump-start rule — tell yourself, I’ll just do 5 minutes. Getting started is 80% of the battle.

2. Resistance: The Mind’s Automatic “No” Button
