Last week I had to face something that I was putting off. And it wasn’t easy.

The problems I face come from within. Whether I make a wrong turn, avoid the right path altogether, or react to something that I don’t agree with. It’s all my decision.

One thing I can guarantee you is they will always come to a head if we don’t address them.

It’s not easy facing adversity.

Whether it’s an illness, a painful loss, a drastic change, or anything else that life throws your way, it can be tough to stay positive and keep going.

I must always remember one thing: I am never alone.

When I hit the wall, I asked for help. I got closer to God and my friends and had some honest conversations.

My turmoil became a blessing. Because you know what? I tend to take the world on by myself. I got this.

And then I tapped into the amazing people in my life who love me.

It’s not easy. But I don’t have to carry this alone.

Here’s what I learned.

1. Acknowledged my feelings
